Untitled (Perfect Lovers), 2017, Inkjet print on photographic paper, 28 x 21 cm

On March 29th 2017, Somebody brought me flowers for my 26th birthday. They sat in a glass cup on the bookshelf in the flat I used to share with Dimitris and Antonis in the Old Town of Limassol. I traced their shadow on the panel behind. By the next day, the flowers had started dying and drooped over, their shadow no longer in sync with the drawing. The title is a reference to one of my favourite works of all time – Felix Gonzalez-Torres' Untitled (Perfect Lovers) – two synced clocks placed next to each other, that desynchronise as time goes by. The shadow is still there on the bookshelf, which are now installed at my parents' house in Limassol.

Available through Bravo Bravo Editions.
